AWS Calendar Invite Server is designed for Millions of AWS Domains

The AWS Calendar Invite Server sends Calendar Invite campaigns using existing AWS Infrastructure for Marketing and Transactional use cases.

The hypothesis is that if the Calendar Invite Campaign workflow, List Management, and AWS platform are as good as the current generation of Digital Marketing software, then Calendar Invite Campaigns could be used with Email and SMS Marketing and Transactional use cases.

Step 1: The Calendar Client injects data into the AWS Calendar Invite Server by configuring an AWS Simple Email Service email box for your customers to send the calendar invite data to be processed. In this demo, the email box is create@calendarsnack.com.

Step 2: All the Organizer's data is organized by the Email Address used in the Calendar Client when injected into the AWS Calendar Invite Server.

The organizer can be auto-provisioned using a completely headless workflow or forced through a wall when configuring. That wall could be a paywall with provisioning or just provisioning with a free signup.

Step 3—All the data is ingested and displayed using the AWS Calendar Invite Server 9 APIs for Dashboards and Workflows.

In step 4, the picker selects the Calendar Invites for the specific campaign event, which are are sent to a permitted list using an Email List like AWS Pinpoint. This is working with up to 10K in a batch. Using the upload method of using a .CSV List.

In Step 5 & 6 the Calendar Invites are sent by the Calendar Invite Server Lambdas and the data is displayed with the reporting API’s.

Data collection is for organizers and domain owners in S3 and Dynamo DB for retrieval by the reporting APIs.

This is an unexplored area of using the calendar invite campaign data.

AWS Calendar Invite Server Road Map

The next feature in our 2025 roadmap is API email List integration using the AWS Calendar Invite Server with the AWS PinPoint List Manager API.

This involves building out a Lambda that would communicate with Pinpoint's API Email Lists, insert those email addresses into the AWS Calendar Invite Server API built with the correct Calendar Invite Campaign UIDs, and use a fanout pattern to send the Calendar Invites using the AWS Simple Email Service RAW API with our Lambda that builds Calendar Invites on the fly, sends them, and tracks the RSVPs.
